So true!!

Youtube can be SUCH a cruel place especially if you're new and don't have many subscribers. I've found myself in more or less the same situation as your character after uploading a video. Luckily in NG things are much better off where people actually care enough to leave a review to appreciate your work or atleast offer constructive criticism whereas Youtube is such a popularity game these days... makes me sick!

Overall funny Flash and wonderful theme! I voted 5 and giving you a 10/10 review score!!

Joonza responds:

Thanks man! Yea, I think the biggest problem in YouTube is that it's hard to get views unless it's some popular subject. For example, if you're like a really talented musician, and you post your own music on there, your videos get barely any views. You should be able to see all the most recent videos on the frontpage, or something.
But thanks for the 10! :)

Took me to another dimension!

Not entirely sure what was going on in your mind when you made this, but damn! You really took the viewers to a whole other abstract darker world for awhile and for that I must applaud you for few creators can achieve that with only their 2nd flash and in such a short movie!

Hope your graphics and animation skills improve in time to really bring to life that bizzare wicked imagination you have seem to have in abundance... not to mention some great vocals! 8/10 :)

Lord-Desolator responds:

Cheers! I'm stoked to hear it took you to another dimension. I try to deliver things short and sweet to avoid boring the viewer. Though I could make it a little longer, depending on how things go with improvements and experimentation.

I just have a messed up imagination and my mind has given the green light for all manners of weird thoughts to come in.

I aim to improve my graphical and animation over time and I love experimenting with things. Glad you liked the vocals too. To be honest I had to layer and modify them in Audacity. Since I used an inbuilt mic they would have sounded weak on their own. When giving duplicated tracks different pitch levels, the sound can turn out to be even more awesome than each of the layers.

Amazing movie and touching moral!

This was really great and it's weird I wasn't quite expecting it to be touching. In just a short moment you really feel for the kid plus the music adds a nice even touch. Good job and you really deserve that award you won for it. Hope this wins some NG awards too. This certainly deserves to reach much higher score and I voted 5 to make sure... keep makin more!! ;)

Madtav44 responds:

Thanks for the kudos! Much appreciated! I'm surprised you liked the music :P I didn't want to get pinged for copyright infringement so I actually made the little piano chords at the end... and I'm no piano player... :P I might've added background music, but I really didn't have the time or the motivation to do it within the deadline.

Nice graphics but too short and pointless

Yeah nice graphics but that's about it with this one. There is absolutely no real plot, and I guess the basic message you're trying to convey to kids here is (like every OTHER cartoon ever made) that Classical music sucks and rock and roll rules. Being a VERY big fan of Classical music myself I was rather disturbed by this, and I think Pachelbel Johann's original Canon deserves more respect on it's own and needs absolutely NO rock and roll substitute or a fancy lead by every 'Slash' from GNR wannabe to make it more interesting or beautiful in anyway. Perhaps one day you and the majority of people out there will realise the true great classics as they are.

This cartoon is a real slap in the face for those who've spent years developing a skill and taste in Classical music only to be blown away by some sappy stereotypical electric guitar lead. I myself have gotten a Grade-3 degree in Trinity College of Music London in Piano and trust me it's NOT easy to find people to appreciate and encourage me when I play the Classics. Classical music is already a dying art and cartoons like yours don't make it any easier for their survival :-(

For now I voted a 3, and am giving this review a 5/10 purely for good animation and graphics style.

Foreverland responds:

Well I see what you mean, but I suppose I would argue your point. I grew up learning the classics from Looney Tunes and have subsequently had an appreciation for classical music my whole life. I rock out to Beethoven's 9th in my car all the time. I don't mean for this to be a slap in the face of classical music, but rather an homage or appreciation of what classical music is. I love the traditional version of classical music, but I love it when people do different takes on it as well. I think any kind of awareness for classical music will get people to go back and figure out where the original came from. It certainly has for me.

Cheers for Reporterclock! Hooray for Clock DAY!!

Wow, best animation for Clock Day yet! Not really a fan of clock movies myself, but this was just a perfect Clock Version spoof of the 'Ultimate Showdown' I couldn't resist giving it a 5/5!! Great job!! Btw, Clock Day in Newgrounds falls on the exact day my country (India) got Her Independance (August 15th, 1947) A tragic coincidence :-(

Oh well, Happy 59th Independance Day fellow Indian comrades, and Happy Clock Day to the rest of... er Newgrounds folks?

Btw the 3-D turning of the room in the beginning was soooo cool!!

ReporterClock responds:

Thanks! That was hard work. Happy independance day!

I adore your simplicity!

This has some standard humorous elements in it, like when the news broadcaster searches for Jenny and tries to replace her with a hand puppet, the cops stopping for donuts at Starbucks during a highspeed car chase etc.

Pretty stereotypical kiddy stuff, but still it's kinda amusing to go back and live the days when being funny was so simple and innoscent. Overall, I think you did a great job, especially since you did all the voices, including Jenny, yourself lol

Btw, where IS Jenny anyway??! :(

teh-octan responds:

I like to think she quit because she was sick of how unprofessional the rest of the news team was. Actually I should revise this and work that in somehow...

Funniest Football World Cup movie YET!

That was funny dude, and soooo true to each team! The talented Brazilians, the Marching Germans, the brutal hooligan English... and then especially with the Jamaica team where you put the question mark and the guy kicks the ball and falls over lol!!! Good animation, graphics ok, but could've used more countries in my opinion :(

Hope to see a sequel!!

mackain responds:

thanks a lott dude! =D
yeah i know I should have added some teams but its har working out steriotypes:P

a sequel? perhapesa thats not a bad idea =)

MORE than a Great Animation, but an inspiration!

Sometimes when I am asleep I dream of this movie. I dream of running faster and faster like Bitey, until the whole world had become nothing more than a blur. The clouds, the mountains, the great oceans zooming past me at amazing speeds. Running away from all my fears, my nightmares, the darkest moments in my life, until I become like the very wind that could never be stopped no matter the obstacles that life throws at me. I become the purest form of Nature that looms over the world with ungodly power. And finally here, my mind free from the bonds of reality, I slowly gather my true inner strength, the confidence to face the very troubles I was running from, to stop turn around... and CRUSH every plague that dampened my spirit, every worry that darkened my soul, every incompetance I felt I was cursed with, until they all become like the dust of my feet. Even the darkest cloud now disappears, the shackles of slavery are broken, and I am now not only free and powerful, but one among the greatest creation of the universe itself.....

In other words... I am a MAN!

Thank you Mr.Adam Phillips, for inspiring me with this movie. I am forever indebt to the brilliance you've shared with us all here.

chluaid responds:

I'm glad you liked it and that it means so much to you :)
Thanks for taking the time to review!
