Amazing movie and touching moral!

This was really great and it's weird I wasn't quite expecting it to be touching. In just a short moment you really feel for the kid plus the music adds a nice even touch. Good job and you really deserve that award you won for it. Hope this wins some NG awards too. This certainly deserves to reach much higher score and I voted 5 to make sure... keep makin more!! ;)

Madtav44 responds:

Thanks for the kudos! Much appreciated! I'm surprised you liked the music :P I didn't want to get pinged for copyright infringement so I actually made the little piano chords at the end... and I'm no piano player... :P I might've added background music, but I really didn't have the time or the motivation to do it within the deadline.

I will remember this movie forever...

...and have the rest of my life to learn from it. Thank you so much for making this!!

The power of people...

This video is living proof of the true power of people and the internet. There is absolutely no real work put into this, it doesn't mean anything, heck it's just a kid dancing to a song (which he didn't make btw) and yet this has succeeded and gone places that even the GREATEST works of art, movies and animations haven't. The creator of this himself is completely baffled by all this madness... and yet look at where it is today thanks to... yes the people. People have the power to make even NOTHING become great and famous. Sadly... not all of us have that kind of luck. I'm very very glad you did Gary. You also made a very unknown song before this video famous too.

You are an inspiration to the underdogs, and I salute you. May you use this power from the people and fame in your young adult life for good some day. God bless the internet age!

Pure Art

If you could create a masterpiece out of a Flash Movie... this would be it. Stunning simply stunning and so well put together! Thank you for sharing this thought provoking message to the world....

One my absolute favorites!

I have a good deal number of favorite flash movies, but this is certainly the one I keep coming back to again and again. Mostly because of the magical nostalgic feeling I get when I hear the video game music you used I admit, but also because you took a very simplistic approach in bringing it to life using the perfect sprites and animation not over doing it in the least so it didn't get cheesy or overdone.

This has tremendous replay value and am truly upset with other NG users in giving this amazing transcending work of art such a low score.

I'm giving you a 10 review score and recommending this into the collection, plus I voted 5/5 . Hope that helps you out, and please by all means keep making more :-)

Nice graphics but too short and pointless

Yeah nice graphics but that's about it with this one. There is absolutely no real plot, and I guess the basic message you're trying to convey to kids here is (like every OTHER cartoon ever made) that Classical music sucks and rock and roll rules. Being a VERY big fan of Classical music myself I was rather disturbed by this, and I think Pachelbel Johann's original Canon deserves more respect on it's own and needs absolutely NO rock and roll substitute or a fancy lead by every 'Slash' from GNR wannabe to make it more interesting or beautiful in anyway. Perhaps one day you and the majority of people out there will realise the true great classics as they are.

This cartoon is a real slap in the face for those who've spent years developing a skill and taste in Classical music only to be blown away by some sappy stereotypical electric guitar lead. I myself have gotten a Grade-3 degree in Trinity College of Music London in Piano and trust me it's NOT easy to find people to appreciate and encourage me when I play the Classics. Classical music is already a dying art and cartoons like yours don't make it any easier for their survival :-(

For now I voted a 3, and am giving this review a 5/10 purely for good animation and graphics style.

Foreverland responds:

Well I see what you mean, but I suppose I would argue your point. I grew up learning the classics from Looney Tunes and have subsequently had an appreciation for classical music my whole life. I rock out to Beethoven's 9th in my car all the time. I don't mean for this to be a slap in the face of classical music, but rather an homage or appreciation of what classical music is. I love the traditional version of classical music, but I love it when people do different takes on it as well. I think any kind of awareness for classical music will get people to go back and figure out where the original came from. It certainly has for me.

Funny as sprite movies get with NO complications!

"Directors Commentary : Now the scene where mario jumps and does 50 backflips we had to actually buy a jetpack for mario but you never see it because we digitally took it out."

LOL LMAO!! I'm giving you a 5/5 vote and a 10 in my review JUST for that description you gave alone!

Great movie too btw. I like number 10, 14, and 18 the best. Number 24 was PRETTY weird. Good work and nice gags overall...

Aw... how cuuuute!!

Wow that was a very short and simple animation but it matched well with that song, and Lisa's voice was like lol!! Love your style. Keep it up!!

Well done Clock Parody!!

A very good Clock Parody of the 'Ten Commandments', but maybe it would've been better if you'd replaced the names 'Moses' and the actual race 'Jews' with more harmless clockish words, there would be absolutely NO chance of anyone getting offended, cause afterall you ARE dealing with EXTREMELY sensitive religous faiths. There just wouldn't be any room for controversy and even orthodox Bible believers would judge fairly according to your hard work. Your depiction of God, however, was perfectly done!

I hope this doesn't sound like criticizing, cause it's NOT! Just trying to help out from my own humble experiances.

Other than that, awesome movie, I voted 5/5 and it's definitly going to my favorites (if any of that really helps an already top rated movie lol).

I was kinda really looking forward to an ANIMATED 'Parting of the Red Sea' instead of just a photo still in the end though :-(

I look forward to your future works...

Cheers for Reporterclock! Hooray for Clock DAY!!

Wow, best animation for Clock Day yet! Not really a fan of clock movies myself, but this was just a perfect Clock Version spoof of the 'Ultimate Showdown' I couldn't resist giving it a 5/5!! Great job!! Btw, Clock Day in Newgrounds falls on the exact day my country (India) got Her Independance (August 15th, 1947) A tragic coincidence :-(

Oh well, Happy 59th Independance Day fellow Indian comrades, and Happy Clock Day to the rest of... er Newgrounds folks?

Btw the 3-D turning of the room in the beginning was soooo cool!!

ReporterClock responds:

Thanks! That was hard work. Happy independance day!
